Girls' Frontline is a moe anthropomorphism game in which the player controls echelons of android characters, known in-game as "T-Dolls" or "Tactical Dolls", each of which represents a real-world firearm. The player plays as a newly recruited commander of an area who commands the T-Dolls in battle, and organises the echelons as well as the T-Dolls' wellbeing. Battles are a mix of turn-based strategy puzzles on a set map with enemies that can move about, random item nodes and heliports/command nodes, from which the player can summon their own echelons, or support echelons, which are echelons that the player's friend sets on their profile to be used by others, and real-time battles with enemy echelons. Battles are for the most part automated, although the player can activate the T-Dolls' special abilities manually if wanted, or order them to different spots in formation (which the player can organise out of battle to be set as the default formation when entering a battle) or to withdraw in order to conserve health or resources). Players also have the option of withdrawing specific echelons from the mission altogether if they wish. Gameplay progresses by playing on the campaign missions, logistic support missions, or combat simulations to level up each T-Doll. The game also features gacha elements, such as in the production and heavy production of T-Dolls and equipment, or in the Dormitory with costumes and furniture sets for the T-Dolls on a time-limited basis with several sets and costumes being available for a limited time, before another few sets and costumes are revealed and added. After a while, old costumes from previous gacha events will be added to the "Black Card" store, where players can exchange an amount of Black Cards (obtained from gifting T-Dolls a duplicate costume that has already been gifted before) for a costume of a previous gacha set. ![]()

7/31/2023 0 Comments Layers of fear 2 plot explained![]() ![]() Video games like to play with this idea as well, especially horror games. They could be good, they good be bad - the point is that they’re more complex than you’d think at a first glance. Sure it was fun playing the game more than once to unlock all of the endings, but I don’t think this game is worth all of the effort. There’s a well-known saying that “things may not always be what they seem.” Whether it be people, objects, plot, and so on, there may be things hidden under the surface. While I do enjoy the puzzle solving, the majority of the game is too slow and uneventful to really make a huge impression on me. Overall, I found Layers of Fear 2 to be a mixed bag for me. Even though your first playthrough can last up to eight hours long, there are three different endings for you to explore so you can play the game more than once. The game looked good when I tested it on my Xbox One X and 4KTV.Īnother cool thing about this game is that there is some replay value on offer here. Aside from that moment in the game, the rest of the graphics were very impressive. The only time I did not like the visuals is when you enter a phase in the game where everything turns black and white. The cruise ship really shines and the overall level design looks excellent. While the gameplay in Layers of Fear 2 is quite disappointing, what I do admire is the amazing looking graphics. ![]() Not to mention the lack of music and horror won’t be appealing to those that want to experience something scarier than what is presented here. There are no action set pieces or many proper enemies for you to face in this game. I also find this game won’t be appealing to the majority of casual gamers out there because the majority of the game isn’t all that exciting. I advise you to avoid using a guide because that spoils the fun, but you can use one if you somehow get really stuck in a certain area or puzzle. That being said, there are many times in the game that you will just be exploring for hours wondering where you need to go to next. They are challenging enough to make use of your brain and I admire that. Many of the puzzles you have to solve are unique and aren’t very easy or hard. ![]() However, what I do like about the gameplay in Layers of Fear 2 is that there is a lot of puzzle solving involved. I also found myself not being scared for the majority of the game because nothing looks terribly frightening or scary in my opinion. There are only a few times that there is a sense of urgency where a scary ghost starts chasing you around the cruise ship, but this doesn’t happen very often. There are rarely few moments where you actually feel scared because most of the times you’re just exploring the area in total silence. At first the jump scares are really spooky but over time they get over used and they lose their effect when you’ve seen them too many times.Īnother thing to mention about the gameplay in this game is that it’s slow and quite boring for most of the time. One thing to note about the gameplay is that there are a lot of jump scares. That changed however after a few minutes once I got used to this game’s eerie atmosphere. When I first played this game, I didn’t really know what to do or where to even go. The game plays more like a modern point and click game from the ’90s era of video games. A lot of the game just requires you to explore this cruise ship and interact with the points of interest. In terms of gameplay, Layers of Fear 2 is similar to other FPS style of horror games. However when the main character gets there, the person is in store for a day they would like to sooner forget. You assume the role of a Hollywood actor who has arrived on a fancy cruise ship to film some type of movie. The story in Layers of Fear 2 is quite good if you give it time to explain itself. This is not your usual first person experience where you have a gun and you start shooting everything in sight. The one thing to note about Layers of Fear 2 is that the game focuses more on its story as well as exploration. ![]() I rarely play horror games so playing Layers of Fear 2 was a different experience for me. I did not get the chance to play the original Layers of Fear in 2016 so I played the sequel with a fresh perspective. If you love jump scares and freaky things, then this game is right up your alley. Layers of Fear 2 is a sequel to the first person horror adventure game from developer Bloober Team. ![]() 7/31/2023 0 Comments Office 365 for mac look![]() ![]() For Dark Mode (AKA "Night mode"), you need to change the setting in the macOS system preferences:Īt the top of the dialog box you can switch the appearance of the operating system from Light to Dark: On the Mac, if you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber or have Office 2021 or 2019, you can set macOS to Dark Mode. Under the hood of these tests, two different grit “subfactors” are being measured: perseverance, or the extent to which someone doesn’t get discouraged by challenging circumstances, and consistency of interest (sometimes referred to as passion), or the extent to which someone doesn’t flit around from thing to thing.ĭuckworth and her colleagues have sought to correlate individuals’ grit scales with various life outcomes and to see whether grit predicted success better than other, more established measures. I got a 2.4 out of 5.0-extremely low, I was informed by the presumably unimpressed algorithm. I never give up,” “New ideas and projects sometimes distract me from previous ones,” and “I have difficulty maintaining my focus on projects that take more than a few months to complete.” For each one, you mark whether the statement in question is “Very much like me,” “Not like me at all,” or something in between, and when you’re done the website spits out your grit score. You can measure your grit in about three minutes simply by filling out a 10-item scale on Duckworth’s website-items like “I finish whatever I begin,” “I am diligent. True Grit: In her 2013 TED Talk, Angela Duckworth explained how, in her research, grit outperformed other predictive measures of educational outcomes, like IQ, suggesting that there’s more to academic success beyond the ability to learn quickly. “Psychologists have spent decades searching for the secret of success,” enthuses Daniel Gilbert, the Harvard psychologist, “but Duckworth is the one who found it.” The secret of success. A MacArthur-grant-winning social psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania, she has made very bold claims about the importance of grit for years, and those claims have been echoed by other big names, too. Grit’s popularity is largely due to the work of the concept’s inventor and chief evangelist, Angela Duckworth. It’s a sexy, appealing idea: grit predicts success, grit can be measured, and grit can be improved. By the time you read this, it will have been a golden child of the world of education for well over a decade. After all, you’ve probably heard otherwise. It might surprise you to find out how little evidence there is to support the idea that boosting students’ “grit”-their propensity to tenaciously attack difficult problems they encounter rather than give up-is a reliably effective way to improve their school performance or to close long-standing education gaps. ![]() ![]() The latter feature is especially useful for allergic people. 7/30/2023 0 Comments Ultra high performance probe cards![]() ![]() Previous attempts to apply analytical solutions to the assembly had only limited success. Before investigating possible solutions, a finite element (FE) model of the unmodified probe card was developed. To reduce the deflection-induced variation in OT and force, the probe card structure needed to be stiffer. This small amount of unintended deflection is important, and the actual measured deflection is even larger. When theoretically considering the various effects that could alter the probe force from its design value, more than a 40% decrease resulted if only a 0.0005″ deflection were assumed together with the 0.00025″ planarity tolerance. The mean values of these measurements were 0.00072″, 0.00057″, and 0.00034″, respectively. The behavior of the corner and the behavior of the base of a shelf were similar, varying from 0.00045″ to 0.00065″. To improve the statistical confidence of the measurements, 100 sets were taken: a touchdown was performed, measurements were made, and the load was removed 100 times.Īs might be expected, the deflection at the cantilevered shelf tip was greatest, varying from 0.00060″ to 0.00095″ over the course of the 100 touchdown cycles. Measurements were taken at the tip of one of the ceramic shelves, at the shelf base, in the corner of a shelf, and on the top of the PCB. Allowing ï¿❐.00025″ for planarity tolerance and assuming 0.0005″ for probe card deflection, the maximum OT could be only 0.00175″ for some probes, resulting in 2.45g and, as a result, a high probe contact resistance.Ī digital dial indicator with low contact pressure was used to measure the deflection of the probe card under load. Taking into account the ï¿❒0% tolerance, the actual force could be as low as 1.4g per mil or 3.5g.ĭeflection of the probe card PCB reduces this value even further because it decreases the effective OT. This corresponds to a nominal 4.375g at the specified 1.75g ï¿❒0% per mil OT. Touchdown of a wafer on the dual-die shelf probe card is designed to produce 2.5-mil overtravel (OT). In Figure 2, the original design shows the through opening in the support PCB and the ceramic base glued into a rebate around the lower part of the opening.īecause stresses associated with the ceramic-shelf deflection could produce cracks and sudden mechanical failure, a detailed understanding of the mechanical system was undertaken. Only the probes are intended to bend, but the ceramic shelf and the thick FR4 PCB probe card also deflect under load. The technology used in multidie cards is similar to that found in smaller cantilever needle probe cards, but when the large number of probes touch down, high forces cause structural deflection. The shelf architecture provides the necessary mounting surfaces for the needle probes so the orthogonal groups of probe bodies do not mechanically interfere with each other. In the dual-die shelf probe card in Figure 1, a large number of connecting wires must be accommodated in a confined space. Because only a few different tip lengths are required, the behavior of all the groups of probes can be controlled within a tight tolerance. All the probes in a group have the same cantilever length and, with precise manufacturing, will exhibit nearly perfect planarity and uniform contact force. This construction provides uniform probe mounting. Groups of probes are attached to the ceramic base and the shelf to form a four-sided contact pattern. Shelf probes feature a ceramic base with strategically placed slots along three sides of a shelf. The key to repeatable high performance has been refining the so-called ceramic-shelf design.Īs in conventional epoxy-ring construction, one or more layers of cantilever needle probes are attached by epoxy to a ceramic base. Simple mechanical changes can significantly improve probe card performance.Įpoxy-ring probe cards with 2,000 or more probes are economical solutions to multi-DUT parallel test. ![]() ![]() #Easycanvas apple pencil zbrush sensetivity free R/krita is for sharing artworks made in Krita, general help, tips and tricks, troubleshooting etc. The reason I ask is I am trying to practice some hard surface stuff in Zbrush and I'm not getting the type of feedback that I want out of my wacom pen. The latest Apple Pencil also improved charging, which is now done magnetically while stored on the edge of an iPad. It takes me at least 2-3 strokes or more to get the kind of surface that I want out of it. That means the Pencil is always charged, ready to use and harder to misplace. The Apple Pencil 2 also has a double-tap feature that can be customized to change between drawing and erasing or switching between two recent paint colors. It still begins to draw before the tip touches the screen. I switch over to Mudbox and I am getting the pressure sensitivity that I actually want out of my strokes doing the same equivalent thing in terms of flatten a surface to get planes and hard edges. I've tested a couple different apple pencils and they also seem to barely do the same thing - beginning to draw while hovering 1mm above the screen. Sometimes it feels more like 2mm, and while the center of the tip may be 2mm away, I believe part of the curved edge is more like 1mm away. Takes me only 1 to 2 strokes and that's it while in Zbrush it takes me multiple times. Using a stylus through a web interface can be a laggy and miserable experience that does not compare in any way to the iPad Pro + Apple Pencil 2 experience in the Canvas app. I don't even know which menus in Zbrush I should look for in order to get the right amount pressure sensitivity since there are many factors that contribute to it that will change it's behavior.
